The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has recovered 2.5 million USD from cryptocurrency fraud schemes, aimed at restoring trust and transparency in the industry. The seizure order was issued by Judge Amir H. Ali, in cooperation with the FBI and relevant agencies.

The DOJ stated that fraudulent schemes often exploit the inexperience of investors, promising high returns or using a Ponzi scheme, causing significant financial damage. These platforms take money from new investors to pay old ones until they are discovered.

Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro is committed to the United States pursuing and prosecuting scammers, while also compensating victims. The FBI also urges the public to report scams through the Internet Crime Complaint Center to assist in asset recovery and protect investors.
