Tether plans to open source the Bitcoin mining rig operating system MOS in Q4 2025.

PANews news on June 9, according to Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino, Tether is promoting the open-source plan for the Bitcoin Mining Operating System (MOS), which is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2025. MOS features modularity, IoT architecture, and high scalability, supporting deployments from Raspberry Pi to million-unit Mining Rig levels, aimed at providing small and medium-sized mining enterprises with a fair competitive platform against listed companies while reducing dependency on third-party software. In the future, Tether’s AI analysis tool QVAC will also be integrated.
