The thing that surprised me the most during this dump was seeing how many people quietly entered the futures "trap"... There have always been those intensely chasing this, but it has become evident over the last few days that the scale of the virtual gambling addiction surpasses everything. I've heard people say that outsiders lost $50,000 and that they became $100,000 in debt. Among the phenomenon friends we talk about, there are really many who suffered significant losses; those who didn't throw in futures have left behind a fortune. Probably many friends experienced the crypto version of the conversation in the photo under this post before getting liquidated.
I call it "the swamp" because the current situation shows that everyone is progressing like a bomb ready to explode, there are no stops, no sufficient funds behind the position, there's no tactic or strategy, it's just "it's not going to drop below this level" and bam bam bam positions are opened.
I am really upset with myself for having liquidated the amount that might correspond to maybe 1% of the balance chasing the perp dex airdrop, thinking "what could be the worst that could happen". Those who do this with all their assets have developed a perception of virtual risk that I can't even comprehend. Unfortunately, in this market, they don't award medals to those who take the most risks...
For years, we have been telling you not to waste your time explaining that you should make at least 70% of your balance in spot trading and not exceed 30% with the amount you are looking for adventure; even that is too much. There is no mastery in crypto; we have once again seen that it is not so easy and reasonable to make money in the riskiest places without being content within risky investments. Whatever you say to people about certain topics seems to be in vain; you don't gain that experience until something happens. After what has happened, you need to look ahead. If you don't come to the stage of acceptance and then learning from the lessons after anger and rebellion, like many losses, your loss will have been completely in vain.
