Having been in the crypto space for many years, I’ve seen too many people bet everything on a single dream of overnight riches, only to end up losing everything. I’ve also gone through that muddled period myself, until I eventually summarized a relatively stable trading approach.

Many people ask me how to select coins and how to position themselves. Honestly, my current method is quite simple and straightforward, but it’s these seemingly ordinary principles that are the real key to making money and staying alive in this market.

**When the market fluctuates, many can’t hold back**

Seeing big swings, they want to "rush in," then make impulsive moves. The end result is often liquidation, stop-loss, or cutting losses. I used to do these stupid things too. Looking back now, I feel both angry and speechless. So today I want to share a few trading routines I’ve repeatedly validated. If you decide to follow them, please do so seriously.

**Step 1: Pick targets from the top gainers list**

Why must I look at the top gainers? The reason is simple — only coins that have already surged will maintain active trading heat and present follow-up opportunities. If a coin hasn’t moved at all, what’s the point of buying it? No market signals, forcing your way in usually ends in losses, nine times out of ten.

**Step 2: Don’t obsess over minute charts, look at the monthly MACD**

K-line charts reflect short-term noise, but real opportunities are hidden in long-term trends. My habit is to look at the MACD on the monthly chart — if a golden cross forms, I enter directly. If not, I stay in cash and wait for opportunities. Overly speculative, low-probability trades are basically just giving away money.

**Step 3: The 70-day moving average is my lifeline**

Every day, this is the indicator I pay the most attention to. When the price retraces near the 70-day MA and volume begins to pick up significantly, that’s when I dare to add to my position. Be patient, trust that the market will give you opportunities — hold on when signals appear, keep waiting when they don’t.

**Step 4: Never be greedy after entering**

Hold steady when prices rise, and exit immediately if the price breaks below a key support line. Too many failures happen because people “can’t let go” — constantly hoping for a rebound, but the profit on paper turns into losses gradually. You can’t beat the market psychologically.

**Step 5: Take profits with rhythm**

Don’t try to take all the gains at once—that’s greed. My rhythm is: sell half after a 30% increase, then when it hits 50% more, sell half again. Remember, markets are always changing. Missing one opportunity isn’t a big deal; the next wave will come, and you can continue then.

**And most importantly: if it falls below the 70-day MA, exit immediately**

This is my strict rule. No matter how long you’ve held or how optimistic you are, once it breaks this line, you must get out. Don’t fight the market, don’t gamble your life — this rule is the foundation of how I’ve survived in crypto until now.

**Simplicity is sometimes power**

In this industry, the more complicated the methodology, the easier it is to make mistakes. The real money is made by two things: strictly following trading discipline without compromises, and exercising strict emotional control. When greed urges you to rush in, think of these rules; when panic strikes and you want to cut losses, remember these rules too.
