On December 21, regarding the recent large asset security incident discussed in the community, F2Pool co-founder Wang Chun shared his personal experience on social media.

He revealed that he suspected his private key might have been leaked last year. To verify whether this address had indeed been attacked, he decided to conduct a "stress test" by transferring 500 $BTC to that wallet.

The result was unexpected. The hacker did not empty the account all at once, but rather "thoughtfully" only took away 490 bitcoins, leaving him with 10 — which he claimed was "enough to get by."

This incident serves as a reminder to the entire community: even industry veterans can face the risk of private key exposure. From wallet security, storage methods for mainstream assets such as $ETH and $BNB, to the necessity of cold wallets, these fundamental yet crucial topics deserve a reevaluation by every holder. Behind the hacker's "selective transfer" lies the true vulnerability of on-chain assets.

Wow, a hacker leaving 10 BTC "to make a living"? This operation is absolutely incredible, and there's a bit of humor in it too, haha. The thing about Private Keys is that even the pros can't defend against them, we retail investors need to be even more cautious. Just talking about Cold Wallets isn't enough, we really need to take action. A pressure test of 500 BTC, one must have quite the guts... Hacker is even being considerate, looks like he's also a "kind" bad guy. This reminds me to check my Wallet security, feeling a bit anxious. Asset security is always the top priority, no caution is too much.

This hacker operation is incredible... leaving 10 BTC "enough to make a living", what does this imply?

Wow, hackers can also choose selective transfers? Leaving 10 BTC for someone to "make a living", how sarcastic is that...

Damn, if large investors can be hacked, it's truly lucky that small retail investors like me are still alive. Wang Chun, this guy is incredibly bold, testing with 500 BTC? I nearly peed my pants. The hacker even "kindly" left 10? Is this a mockery? Haha. Cold Wallets really need to be used, no matter how careful you are, it's not too much. Private Keys are something that can easily be leaked, it's hard to defend against.

The hacker's operation this time is indeed impressive. Instead of being greedy, they left 10, which shows that the other party is also calculating ROI. The pressure test of 500 btc is really bold; this data is enough to put the necessity of Cold Wallets back on the agenda. No matter how strong the Computing Power network is, the Private Key must be protected first, otherwise it's all in vain. This incident reflects the real difficulty of on-chain security; even Large Investors must remain vigilant at all times. It seems that no matter how perfect the infrastructure is, the human factor will always be the biggest vulnerability.

Wow, hackers actually understand cherishing beauty? Leaving 10 for him to make a living, that's incredible.

Wow, 490 BTC just disappeared like that? The hacker is quite particular, huh? The pros are already losing their Private Keys, we retail investors must definitely use Cold Wallets. This stress test is too exciting; if it were me, I would have screamed already. You really can't be careless with Private Keys... The hacker left 10 BTC for him to "make a living"; is this a tip? On-chain really isn't that safe; I need to rethink my storage solution. With this story coming out, there will definitely be another wave of people buying hardware wallets.
