Turkish President: Iran-US Negotiation Process "Still in Progress"

On February 5th local time, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that the negotiations between the United States and Iran are “still progressing and have not broken down,” emphasizing that the door for dialogue and diplomacy to ease tensions remains open. Turkey will work to strengthen the foundation of negotiations through dialogues at leadership and other levels. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on the 5th, saying that Foreign Minister Abdel-Ati recently spoke by phone with the foreign ministers of Iran, Qatar, and Oman, as well as U.S. Special Envoy Wittekov, and called for the U.S. and Iran to ease their differences and reach a peaceful resolution, while also indicating Egypt will continue to mediate.
