Trump Says the U.S.’s Military Action Against Iran Will “End Very Soon.”

At a press conference held in Miami, Florida on the 9th, U.S. President Trump said that the U.S.’s military action against Iran will “end very soon.”

Earlier, in a telephone interview, Trump said the war could end soon. It is reported that during the phone interview, Trump said, “I think this war is basically over, it’s about done. They don’t have a navy anymore, they don’t have communications systems, and they don’t have an air force either.” Trump also said that this is “much faster than” the 4-to-5-week time frame he had initially expected.

When asked about Iran’s newly appointed supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, Trump said, “I don’t have anything to say about him at all.” Trump claimed that “someone is already in mind” to replace Khamenei, but provided no further details.

In addition, when talking about the U.S.’s recent military action against Iran, Trump said it was a “short-term operation.” He said that the U.S., working with Israel, has launched a military action against Iran, and Iran’s drone and missile capabilities are being “completely destroyed.” He also said that the U.S. and its allies will continue their military action until the enemy is “completely defeated.”
