IT Home reported on March 29 that China Petroleum announced today that in 2025, the group achieved operating revenue of 2,864.469 billion RMB, a decrease of 2.5% compared to 2,937.981 billion RMB in the same period last year; net profit attributable to the parent company’s shareholders was 157.318 billion RMB, a decrease of 4.5% from 164.684 billion RMB in the same period last year; basic earnings per share were 0.86 RMB, a decrease of 0.04 RMB from 0.90 RMB in the same period last year.

Among them, in 2025, the oil and gas and new energy segment achieved operating revenue of 824.808 billion RMB, a decrease of 9.0% from 906.813 billion RMB in the same period last year, mainly due to the combined impact of falling crude oil prices and increased natural gas sales.

In 2025, the refining, chemical, and new materials segment achieved operating revenue of 1,078.047 billion RMB, a decrease of 9.6% from 1,192.589 billion RMB in the same period last year, mainly due to reduced refined oil production and price decreases.

In 2025, the sales segment achieved operating revenue of 2,352.746 billion RMB, a decrease of 4.1% from 2,454.546 billion RMB in the same period last year, mainly due to a decrease in refined oil sales volume, price declines, and reduced international trade revenue.

In 2025, the natural gas sales segment achieved operating revenue of 619.503 billion RMB, an increase of 4.5% from 592.690 billion RMB in the same period last year, mainly due to increased domestic natural gas sales volume.

IT Home learned from the report that in 2025, China Petroleum’s overseas business achieved operating revenue of 970.233 billion RMB, accounting for 33.9% of the group’s total operating revenue; it achieved pre-tax profit of 32.613 billion RMB, accounting for 14.4% of the group’s pre-tax profit. The group’s overseas business maintains steady development, with international operational levels continuously improving.
