China Mobile's 6G networked collaborative sensing achievement selected as one of the Top 10 Landmark Results in the 2026 State-Owned Enterprise Original Technology Innovation Hub

On March 27, the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum “Enterprise Discovery and Invention Forum,” hosted by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, was held in Beijing. On-site, it unveiled the “Top Ten Landmark Achievements of Central Enterprises’ Original Technology Sources.” The “Intelligent Open 6G Networked Collaborative Sensing and Communicative Perception Theory and Technology Framework,” proposed by China Mobile Innovation, was successfully selected.

The intelligent open 6G networked collaborative sensing and communicative perception theory and technology framework is another breakthrough by China Mobile in the field of sensing-and-communications fusion. It achieves integrated advancement from 5G-A to 6G. Addressing pain points such as the lack of foundational networked collaborative sensing and communicative perception theories, the absence of a key technology framework, and the lack of a prototype verification platform, the achievement completes three major core technology innovations and makes phased progress. First, it breaks through the problem of fragmented sensing-and-communications indicators and the difficulty of unified performance representation, reveals the anisotropic scattering mechanism for different targets, and innovatively proposes a unified performance boundary for sensing-and-communications fusion, achieving normalized system performance measurement and laying a solid theoretical foundation. Second, it breaks through the critical bottleneck for multi-node collaboration. The original 6G networked collaborative sensing and communicative perception high-precision, high-trustworthiness technology framework improves sensing accuracy by more than 2 times through intelligent collaborative sensing and distributed joint training. Third, it solves the challenge that sensing trustworthiness is limited in complex environments due to constrained transmission energy. It innovates with a target detection and intelligent recognition method under a constant-modulus beam constraint, reducing the missed-detection rate by more than 30%, with a significant improvement in detection and recognition performance.

Based on this achievement, China Mobile has developed a 6G full-domain open sensing-and-communications fusion experimental platform, achieving sub-meter-level high-precision sensing capability. It lays a solid foundation for future scenarios such as the low-altitude economy and waterway routes, helping communication networks expand from “connecting everything” to “sensing everything.”
