BlockBeats News, March 5 — The U.S. Central Command announced that the U.S. military is using a range of AI tools to rapidly process the massive amounts of data generated during operations in Iran. Since the military strikes began last week, the U.S. has targeted over 2,000 objectives, with 1,000 targets hit within the first 24 hours. Central Command Commander General Brad Cooper stated that the scale of this operation is nearly twice that of the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq.
Central Command spokesperson Captain Timothy Hawkins said that AI technology has played a key role in the Iran operations, enabling preliminary filtering of incoming data so analysts can focus on higher-level analysis and verification. According to sources, one of the AI technologies used in the Iran operations is the digital task management platform Maven Smart System. Previously publicly disclosed by the U.S. military, this system was developed by Palantir Technologies and can access over 150 different data sources. One of the large language models installed in the system includes Anthropic’s Claude tool.
