New York gold futures fell below $5,100, poised to record a weekly decline this week

Gate News Report, March 13, Friday: New York Gold Futures (NY Gold) fell below $5,100 per ounce, likely recording a weekly decline. A strong dollar, rising oil prices, and uncertainty over Federal Reserve policies have pressured gold prices. ANZ Bank analysts stated, “The dollar has strengthened due to its safe-haven status, especially as rising oil prices benefit the United States as a net energy exporter. Concerns about the Fed’s rate cut path are increasing, and rising oil prices have heightened the risk of inflation re-emerging.”
