US Defense Secretary: Strait of Hormuz Open But Iran Still Firing at Ships

Gate News reports that on March 13, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin issued a statement regarding the Strait of Hormuz issue. Austin stated that the only factor hindering shipping is Iran’s attacks, and the U.S. has prepared contingency plans for every response option. He pointed out that the Strait of Hormuz is currently open for passage, but Iran is still firing at passing ships.
