Glider and Ondo Finance have launched a platform that allows individual investors to build and automate tokenized U.S. stock portfolios without the need for a brokerage account. Users can create on-chain stock baskets based on real assets, without wallets, gas fees, or manual operations. Unlike traditional ETFs, the platform supports direct index creation with flexible weightings and automatic rebalancing.
Assets reflect the prices of underlying stocks and can be traded outside regular hours. This model eliminates the liquidity limitations of previously tokenized ETFs. The initial phase focuses on U.S. stocks, with plans to expand into commodities and yield-generating features. The platform is not yet open to U.S. users, but Ondo has registered with the SEC amid rapid growth in RWA markets and crypto ETPs.
