BlockBeats news, on March 28, Iranian media reported that the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant was attacked on the night of March 27, and no damage to the nuclear power plant has been found, nor are there any reports of casualties. The report noted that the nuclear power plant is operational and stores a large amount of radioactive material, and an attack on it could trigger a serious nuclear accident.
The attacks by the United States and Israel on facilities for the peaceful use of nuclear energy violate international law and pose a serious security threat to the region. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) issued a statement late at night on the 27th, stating that it received a report from Iran that the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant was attacked again that day, marking the third attack on this nuclear power plant within ten days.
The Iranian report also stated that the operational reactor was not damaged and no radiation leak occurred. The IAEA said that the agency’s Director General Grossi called on all parties to exercise maximum military restraint to avoid the risk of a nuclear accident. (Jin Shi)
