Korean pop singer Kwon Eun-bi has reportedly confirmed that she will not renew her contract with her original agency Woollim Entertainment, and will instead move to Galaxy Corp, an AI entertainment company that has surged rapidly in recent years, becoming G-Dragon’s junior in the process. Interestingly, while this company positions itself around combining AI and entertainment, its major shareholder behind the scenes is Jay Chou concept-stock entertainment giant, Giant Entertainment. Taiwan’s memory-chip manufacturer Winbond Technology earlier—back in June 2025—invested about $40 million to take a stake.

G-Dragon’s agency actively seeks to sign Kwon Eun-bi

According to reports from Korean media, Kwon Eun-bi’s exclusive contract with her original company Woollim Entertainment formally expired on March 31, and both sides have decided not to renew. An insider said that the signing arrangements between her and Galaxy Corporation have entered the final coordination stage, and that the new home had shown strong sincerity already in the early negotiation period, actively vying to bring aboard this female singer whose popularity has climbed quickly in recent years.

In recent years, Galaxy Corporation has drawn significant market attention for signing G-Dragon. The company promotes an “AI entertainment technology” positioning, combining artificial intelligence, robots, and content production, and is viewed as one of the key representatives of a transformation in Korea’s entertainment industry. In addition to G-Dragon, its roster also includes Kim Jong-kook and the film star Song Kang-ho, continuing to expand its lineup of stars.

Memory-chip company Winbond becomes part of the concept-stock circle around G-Dragon and Kwon Eun-bi’s agency Galaxy

It is worth noting that this company is also connected to the capital markets. After G-Dragon left YG Entertainment in 2023, he signed with Galaxy Corporation for about 20 billion KRW, with half structured as stock options, giving him about a 2% stake and elevating him to a key shareholder of the company. According to available data, in the first half of 2025, Galaxy Corporation recorded revenue of roughly 126 billion KRW and net profit of 13 billion KRW, demonstrating initial commercialization capability.

More importantly, Galaxy’s shareholder structure spans entertainment and technology capital across Asia. The Hong Kong-listed company Giant Legend (widely known in the market as a “Jay Chou concept-stock”) holds about 7% equity; meanwhile, Taiwan’s memory-chip manufacturer Winbond Technology invested about $40 million into the company earlier than June 2025.

Kwon Eun-bi and G-Dragon both come from the Andong Kwon clan

Interestingly, Kwon Eun-bi—and her future senior in the same agency, G-Dragon—also both come from the Andong Kwon clan. She debuted as a member of the girl group Ye-A back in 2014, but at the time market response was limited, and the group quickly faded into obscurity. What truly brought her into mainstream view was her participation in the 2018 audition program Produce 48; ultimately, she stood out thanks to her steady singing and dancing skills as well as her command of the stage, becoming one of the members of the project girl group IZ*ONE and taking on the role of leader.

During her IZ*ONE activities, Kwon Eun-bi gradually built an image of an “all-rounder leader.” Not only did she have standout dance ability, she also demonstrated reliable live singing performance and a commanding presence in leading the team. Spread out, she is scattered stars in the sky; gathered, she is a ball of fire. After the group disbanded in 2021, she chose to pursue a solo career and officially transitioned into an individual singer.

In her solo era, Kwon Eun-bi’s music style clearly moved toward a more mature and experimental direction. From the retro jazz elements in her debut track “Door,” to the electronic sounds of “Glitch,” and then to the dance-oriented directions of “Underwater” and “The Flash,” she gradually built a personally branded identity with strong recognizability, while also showing her intention to evolve from an idol into a “performance-oriented artist.”
