F2Pool’s co-founder bought a Thai apartment in 2015 for 2,900 BTC, and recently sold it for 7 BTC

Gate News, March 31—F2Pool co-founder Wang Chun disclosed that the Naklua apartment in Pattaya, Thailand that he purchased in 2015 for 2,900 BTC was recently sold for 7 BTC. Priced in BTC, this was only about 0.24% of the original purchase price. When he bought it in 2015, the BTC price was about $270. The purchase price of the apartment was about $785,000. Using the current BTC price of about $67,000, the original 2,900 BTC is worth about $194 million, while the proceeds from selling the 7 BTC are worth about $469,000. BTC previously hit an all-time high of $126,000 in October 2025, when the peak value of 2,900 BTC was about $365 million. Wang Chun said that during his time living in Pattaya, he obtained a passport from Saint Kitts and Nevis and a U.S. visa, and he spearheaded the establishment and launch of F2Pool’s Zcash mining pool.
