Gate News update: On April 3, according to Arkham monitoring, as of the beginning of April 2026, the Ethereum Beacon Chain staking contract (ETH2 Beacon Deposit Contract) holds more than 82 million ETH (worth about $169 billion), accounting for about 68% of the total supply. On trading platforms, one CEX holds 4.2 million ETH (worth about $8.6 billion), another CEX holds 3.6 million ETH (worth about $7.3 billion), and yet another CEX holds 1.7 million ETH (worth about $3.4 billion). In terms of institutional and individual holdings, BlackRock holds 3 million ETH (worth about $6.0 billion), and the Ethereum treasury company BitMine collectively holds about 4.7 million ETH (worth about $10.0 billion). Among individual holders, Rain Lohmus holds 250k ETH (cannot be accessed due to the loss of a private key), and Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin holds about 224k ETH, which is the largest individual holder with wallet permissions. In addition, the native bridge addresses on the Arbitrum and Base networks hold about 849k and 828k ETH, respectively. The U.S. government currently holds about 62k ETH.
