The central government launches the "Tianwang 2026" initiative, with multiple departments working together to crack down on underground money remitters moving stolen funds across borders

Gate News message, on April 5, the International Pursuit of Fugitives and Recovery of Assets and Cross-Border Corruption Governance Work Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Coordination Group held a meeting to formally launch the “Tianwang 2026” campaign. This campaign includes four special tasks: the National Supervisory Commission takes the lead in carrying out a special action to pursue and recover overseas assets and recover losses involving duty-related crimes; the Ministry of Public Security carries out the “Fox Hunt” special action; the People’s Bank of China, together with the Ministry of Public Security, carries out a special action to prevent and crack down on the transfer of stolen funds overseas using offshore companies and underground money houses; and the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, together with the Ministry of Public Security and the National Immigration Administration, is responsible for managing appointment posts for officials as “naked officials” and for addressing violations in the governance of public officials going abroad (or to exit/enter) for private purposes.
