OPEC warns that the high costs and lengthy time required for energy facility repairs will impact crude oil supply.

April 5, according to Reuters, the OPEC+ committee meeting held on Sunday expressed concern about attacks on energy assets during the U.S.-Iran and Iran-U.S. war, saying that repairing the relevant facilities is costly and time-consuming, thereby affecting supply. The statement said: “The committee emphasized that ensuring the safety of international sea lanes is crucial to keep energy flowing without interruption. The committee expressed concern about attacks on energy infrastructure. Restoring damaged energy assets to full-capacity operation is both costly and takes a long time, thereby affecting overall supply capacity.”

According to PolyBeats monitoring, on the prediction market Polymarket, the probability that the WTI crude oil daily closing price will be above $130 within April has risen to 51%, and the probability that it will be above $120 has risen to 80%.
