Since Trump suffered his first “attempted assassination” at Butler’s campaign rally on July 13, he has said several times that he would return to Butler for another rally. On July 13, 20-year-old gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks shot Trump in the ear from a pitched roof just 130 yards from Trump, causing chaos before being killed by Secret Service snipers.
