A couple of days ago, I missed the opportunity to buy meme tokens when they rose 20,000 times, and I got trapped at the peak, losing 500u. I'm feeling very down, so I've been scrolling through media and news looking for opportunities. I've noticed that apart from the panic sentiments these days, the news about Gate is the most prevalent. The CEO of Gate Europe even gave a speech at FinanceMalta, discussing sustainable development and compliance thoughts, and Dr. Han also talked with regulators about the implementation of MiCA.
The best outcome is that Gate has obtained the MiCA license from the Malta Financial Services Authority. Gate has truly put in effort on Compliance and has secured a European license, taking a more stable step than many exchanges. A quick comparison with other large exchanges reveals that Gate is actually the only one to have simultaneously obtained four major licenses from the USA (FinCEN), Japan (FSA), the EU (MiCA), and Dubai (VARA).
Compared to the common situations in the circle, some exchanges only think about expanding the market, and licenses are merely for show; risks and Compliance are often just talk on paper. I haven't been in the circle for too long; my Gate uid starts with 2 and is 7 digits long. A few days ago, I invited a friend to join the circle, and his uid starts with 4 and is 8 digits long. From the perspective of the B circle, the MiCA license means that the European market may slowly become Gate's "stable territory," rather than casually inflating trading volume and hype like some exchanges. In the short term, it may not be so intuitive for users, but I am looking forward to the first established exchange that helps me make my first pot of gold, with uid breaking through 8 digits and approaching 9 digits.
