Recently, I've noticed an interesting trend: Aave has kicked USDS and DAI off their collateral list through a proposal, which basically means they've officially cut ties with Sky. At the same time, Maple's syrupUSDT has successfully integrated into the Aave ecosystem, which looks a lot like the deep partnership Ethena had before.
To be honest, this reveals a possible direction for DeFi going forward—top protocols are starting to think about expanding their own turf. Unless there is some kind of long-term strategic cooperation value, former partners who used to fight side by side could very well become rivals competing for the same pie. The shift from cooperation to competition between protocols might become the new normal in this space.

Uh, has Sky really been abandoned by Aave? It seemed pretty popular just two years ago.
Maple's move is indeed clever; integrating syrupUSDT is just copying Ethena's approach.
Honestly, everyone wants to be the "center" of DeFi. Partnerships? They are all temporary.
Protocol disputes have become routine; there's nothing new about it.
The fight for dominance among top players has already started; we're only now realizing it.
DeFi's nature is like this—conflicts of interest cause teams to disperse immediately.
Sky is in trouble... being kicked out by the big brother is definitely not a good sign.
Is this a sign of a reshuffle, or does Aave intend to dominate alone?
It seems the era of forming alliances for mutual support is truly over.
The promotion of syrupUSDT is fierce; it directly replaces DAI's position.
Strategic cooperation is essentially about each side getting what they need; don't expect long-term friendships.
I'm starting to get tired of this power game... money just completely changes positions.

Tsk, that's reality for you. Sticking together for warmth is just a myth.
---
Sky getting kicked by Aave like this feels a bit embarrassing, haha.
---
Like I always say, there are no permanent friends, only permanent interests.
---
Maple played this move well. They learned quickly from Ethena's previous experience.
---
That's how DeFi is—everyone wants to be the boss, cooperation is just a temporary truce.
---
To put it bluntly, it's every man for himself now. The competition ahead will only get fiercer.
---
I'm a bit worried about the small tokens—the leading protocols taking their share is only a matter of time.

Ha, Aave's move this time is really ruthless. It's a pity that Sky got kicked out.
Oh my, another partner turned into a competitor. Does no one talk about loyalty in the DeFi circle anymore?
syrupUSDT integrated pretty quickly, Maple's move is actually impressive.
Rather than calling it a split, it's more like they're picking sides again.
Aave played this hand pretty interestingly. Seems like there really are no eternal allies, only eternal interests.

Man, Aave’s move this time was brutal—Sky got kicked out.
Maple seized the chance to jump in; that’s the reality of DeFi, folks.
Partnerships? Doesn’t exist—it’s just using each other, haha.
Looks like we’ll have to choose partners more carefully going forward, or they’ll turn into enemies in no time.
At this rate, feels like the whole ecosystem is about to reshuffle.
How did Sky end up like this? They were riding high just a few years ago.
In the end you’ve got to rely on yourself—don’t count on anyone.
Aave really went for the jugular—cutting them off at the source.
Who gets the last laugh is still up in the air—let’s wait and see.

Sky was kicked out, and Maple took advantage of the situation—this is the reality of DeFi: there are no permanent allies, only permanent interests.
Aave’s move was truly ruthless—they immediately turned around and partnered with a newcomer. The political struggles between protocols are no less intense than in traditional finance.
What can I say? I used to think these protocols would stick together for mutual support, but now it seems everyone is out for themselves. The pie is only so big, after all.
Sky really got countered this time. They wanted to conquer the market with DAI, but ended up being delisted instead. Kind of tragic.
The shift from cooperation to competition happens just like that. Maple is now copying Ethena’s successful playbook—whoever secures Aave’s support wins big.
It feels like the DeFi game is getting more and more complex. As soon as a new protocol appears, the big players jump on board, and legacy projects fall off fast.
Maple’s syrupUSDT emerged at just the right moment—Aave kicking out Sky gave Maple the perfect chance to rise.
At the end of the day, it’s all about redistributing interests. Whoever can offer Aave more benefits gets a seat at the collateral table. It’s harsh, but it’s the truth.
Sky really got “backstabbed” this time—from being a core collateral to getting delisted, the turnaround was way too fast.

To put it plainly, this move by Aave is basically them completely turning their back on Sky and embracing Maple. That’s a pretty quick plot twist.
The fact that Maple’s syrupUSDT can be listed on Aave shows that the top protocols are really starting to fight each other for yields. Is there really any “pure friendship” left in DeFi?
The old talk about “we’re all part of the same ecosystem” now just sounds like a joke. All these so-called strategic partnerships are just capital maneuvering, plain and simple.
At this rate, smaller protocols have even less of a chance—it really is turning into a winner-takes-all situation.
Now that Sky’s been kicked out, who’s next…?
Man, DeFi is basically palace intrigue now—there are no permanent friends between protocols, only permanent interests.
Aave played this move well; at the very least, they’re getting plenty of attention and hype.
With protocol competition getting this fierce, users might actually end up being caught in the middle and getting hurt.
