Beijing X Art Museum Acquires Interactive Artwork Self Checkout

Foresight News reports that Beijing X Art Museum has acquired the interactive artwork Self Checkout. Self Checkout was created by Jack Butcher, the founder of the NFT project Checks. According to Foresight News, Self Checkout is an interactive artwork that will be exhibited from December 3 to 7, 2025, at Art Basel Miami Beach. There will be a total of 3 self-service kiosks on site, along with a transparent “online order kiosk” that prints receipts in real-time for remote purchases. The length of each receipt depends on the amount paid (one centimeter per US dollar), and each receipt features a unique QR code that links to the corresponding NFT. This transforms the “receipt” from a paper proof into a tradable digital artwork.
