The Energy Information Administration just dropped some numbers worth watching. US electricity demand is projected to hit all-time highs over the next two years. Anyone else thinking about what this means for mining operations and data center costs? Energy prices could get interesting, especially for proof-of-work chains. The infrastructure strain is real.

Electricity demand is maxed out... Are miners going to suffer this time? With rising energy costs, PoW chains are done for.

ngl, the miners are going to cry this time. If electricity costs skyrocket, PoW chains are done for... btw, has anyone calculated the costs?

With the surge in electricity demand, PoW chains are going to suffer. The real question is whether gas fees will skyrocket as well. When the infrastructure can't handle the load, that's when vulnerabilities start to emerge.

If electricity prices go up, those small mining farms really won’t be able to handle it… The cost of BTC mining will increase again, right?
