Another GameFi project is unable to continue.

Chronoforge has just announced that it will officially shut down on December 30, 2025. The team frankly admitted in the announcement that they had been in financial trouble for several months — since July, the entire team has not received any salaries, relying solely on the founder's personal funds to keep the studio running. By January, they simply couldn't hold on anymore and laid off 80% of the staff.

Seeing such news always feels quite helpless. No matter how good the technology is, without capital inflow, the project is just an empty shell. The winter of the Web3 gaming track is colder than expected.

Oh my God, is this another one... Chronoforge can't hold up either? The founder funding it out of pocket for so long is really impressive. Honestly, without traffic and funds, it's hopeless. --- It seems like half of the GameFi track has already died. Without money, everything is pointless. --- No way, no salary since July and you're still holding on... That's a bit pathetic. --- Another failed GameFi project. Good technology is useless if no one plays or invests; it's just a dead project. --- Chronoforge... another project I haven't heard of. This track really needs to calm down. --- Honestly, the founder funding it out of pocket just makes it seem even more powerless. Web3 games can't survive at all. --- 80% layoffs are truly despairing.
