Honestly, these numbers were all figured out by me little by little, without taking any shortcuts.
Last August, a friend in Shanghai showed me a screenshot of his holdings, and I was shocked on the spot — Ethereum and Solana long positions, with unrealized losses totaling over 1 million US dollars!
He asked if I thought he should cut his losses. I thought about it, and with such a big loss, could he really bring himself to sell? Merely comforting him wouldn't help, so I carefully analyzed the K-line trend at that time and felt that this position shouldn't be cut at this point. I advised him to hold on for now and wait for a rebound to a better level before selling. As a result, he really turned things around — not only got back to break-even but also made over 500,000 dollars in profit.
However, his entry point was quite risky, as he chased the high at the peak during the volatile phase, a typical case of chasing a high and taking a loss. Later, he said he wanted to trade along with me, so I agreed.
Recently, we have successively invested in FHE, ZEC, PIPPIN, and ADA, and their overall performance has been quite good, with considerable returns.
Now, his total account assets have exceeded 20 million US dollars. He allocated part of his funds to hold 30 Bitcoin for long-term investment, while the remaining capital continues to be used for swing trading and exploring other opportunities, planning to deepen his involvement in this market over the long term.

Can still withstand a floating loss of one million, this guy is a real man.

A floating loss of 1 million U can still be endured; this mental resilience is indeed commendable.
Turning around 500,000 dollars is good, but what I fear more is when the next time I get cut at the bottom.

Holding onto a floating loss of 1 million U is true resilience
Selling at a loss is easy; the hard part is knowing when not to sell

A floating loss of 1 million U really can't be endured. If it were me, I would have gone all-in and cut losses already.

This story is quite smooth, but I still can't believe that a 1 million floating loss turned into a 500,000 profit.
