Some wallet owner might wake up laughing in their sleep.
On-chain data shows that an early Ethereum address that has been dormant for 10 years and 5 months has recently shown activity. This address comes from the pre-mining period, holding 850 ETH quietly inside, which, according to current market prices, is worth approximately $2.81 million.
Even more incredible is that if we go back to 2015—at that time, this stash was only worth $263. You’re not seeing things, just a couple hundred dollars.
Ten years later, this asset has increased by more than ten thousand times.
I don’t know if this wallet owner is so laid-back that they forgot their password, or if they had already planned this move. Anyway, now that they’re awake, the account balance has gone from "a meal’s worth" to "a down payment on a house."
Sometimes, long-termism isn’t a strategy; it’s just forgetting.

Hmm... maybe this guy really just forgot, and as a result, woke up to financial freedom directly.

Wow, this is the real effortless win, my goodness. Forgetting a password for ten years and turning 200 yuan into 2.81 million directly—how much better can sleep get?

This guy's forgetfulness saved him. I need to reflect on whether my own amnesia can also turn things around.
