Tonight at 3:00 AM, all attention will be focused on the US Federal Reserve meeting (FED). The 25 basis point rate cut has almost been fully “priced in” by the market – no longer a surprise. What investors care about most now is not whether the Fed will cut or not, but what tone Powell will adopt.
Two scenarios are currently being bet on by the entire market:
If Powell is “a bit uneasy” – Hawkish Cut (Hawkish: Rate cut but firm language )
Signal: Powell emphasizes that inflation is still not stable, and the plan for further cuts is cautious. Impact: The risk-on market (crypto, stocks )may “take a breather,” and the current upward momentum could end. BTC may see a sharp correction, especially after recent rapid gains.
If Powell is “lenient” – Dovish Cut (Dovish: Rate cut + supportive tone for the market )
Signal: Emphasizes that the economy is stable, inflation continues to cool, and the Fed is flexible for future rate cuts. Impact: Risk-on continues to soar, capital may flow back, and the recovery trend could extend. BTC and altcoins are likely to have room for further gains.
My personal strategy: Continue holding $BTC Long
I still maintain my BTC Long position, following the plan set earlier.
Set stop-loss at the cost price to protect the account. Profit is for taking, and risk is limited to zero – trade cleanly, without emotion.
Finally, life lasts a few decades; sometimes if you don’t dare to bet, you’ll stay on the sidelines forever.
The important thing is to bet with discipline, bet with strategy – not betting with your life. Tonight will be a very interesting night.
