In my live sessions in the small group, I’ve said multiple times that if I were to rate my own skills, I would give myself a maximum of 7 points.
But in terms of patience and facing my true self, I might reach 8-9 points.
I’ve also always told myself: being a trader with technical skills of 6-7 points but a mindset of 8-9 points will eventually outperform a trader with technical skills of 8-9 points but a mindset of 6-7 points over the long run.
Because with slightly weaker technical skills but a good mindset, you won’t lose big money. Just a bit slower;
But if you become a technical guru with a poor mindset, you might accidentally fall into a deep abyss.
My main income this month came from the short position during late November to early December, and during the subsequent complex, sharp fluctuations, I slowly climbed a little higher, bit by bit. I am very content.
I always follow this principle: hold heavy positions with full confidence; if I am somewhat confident but not quite there, I don’t deceive myself—just reduce the position size and hold; if the confidence is very low, hedge accordingly.
For those with a 50/50 chance, don’t deceive yourself if you don’t understand—just stay in cash and observe until you understand.
【It’s normal not to understand太太】
Never have any “I don’t understand, feel confused, obsessed” mentality. When I don’t understand, I simply “let go”.
All traders who understand every market move are just an illusion, I think.
Just like I openly shared with everyone yesterday during the day, my recent short position was purely by luck.
That’s the truth about myself. Relying on skill is just relying on skill; luck is luck. I cannot deceive myself into thinking luck is skill to boast or fool myself, claiming it’s my technical ability.
Because I don’t deceive myself, clearly knowing that the profits from my lucky short were just luck, I quickly took profits and stopped.
【Trading is the loneliest self-decision, leaving no room for self-deception】
“Ultimately, trading is a test of character,” as senior traders often say. I’ve come to understand the meaning of this over time.
“A person who naturally likes to deceive others will inevitably deceive himself. He shouldn’t trade.”
【Maintaining honesty with others and oneself in trading is the strongest shield in risk control】
Let’s encourage each other.
