A founder of a certain exchange recently discussed a view: what cryptocurrencies truly change is enabling small teams to move large markets. The barriers in traditional finance are too high, but in the Web3 world, just a few developers can build influential products.

This openness of underlying infrastructure is attracting more and more long-term believers to take root. Technology doesn't deceive; teams that persist in their efforts will eventually be recognized.

That's right, this is exactly the vibe. The era of small teams overtaking on the curves has indeed arrived, and the traditional VC approach is long outdated.

Sounds good, but in reality? Most small teams still get stuck at the fundraising stage.

nah, small teams moving markets sounds good on paper but... seen too many bridge exploits funded by exactly this "democratized capital" thesis. optimal routing through unaudited contracts is how you end up writing postmortems at 3am tbh

That sounds great, but in reality, only a few will survive.

There's nothing wrong with that statement, but the ones who truly survive are still the teams that are actually writing code, not those who just tell stories.

A few developers can change the market. That sounds great, but it requires real substance.
