The Fed chair just dropped a reality check: America's been seriously behind on housing construction for way too long now. Powell's pointing out what many have suspected—the housing shortage isn't a recent hiccup, it's been brewing for years.

There's nowhere to build the house, and this should have been said a long time ago. Powell finally hit a sore spot.

honestly... powell's just stating the obvious at this point. the housing shortage isn't some novel discovery, it's been a systemic vulnerability in the economy for decades now. technically speaking, we've been vulnerable to this particular vector since the 2008 aftermath—never really patched it. interesting edge case how policy makers act shocked when structural problems don't self-resolve.

Damn, it's the same old story again. It's high time to build the house. Can politicians just talk without taking action?

This is nothing new; it should have been said a long time ago... The question is, after saying it? How will the policy change?

ngl powell finally saying the quiet part out loud... been holding real estate bags since 2019 thinking "surely they'll build more" lmaooo. the housing shortage is giving leverage ptsd vibes – years of accumulation finally catching up. diamond hands on that thesis but my liquidation account says otherwise fr

Isn't this just armchair strategy? After all these years, I still don't have a house to live in.
