My Trading Journal

Starting Principal: 7000U
Today’s Account: 9050U

When I was young and venturing out, an older brother once told me a saying that I still remember clearly—people who make a living out in the world, putting filial piety to parents first. If someone isn’t filial to their parents, how can you expect them to genuinely treat their brothers? Be tough in life: if you make a mistake, admit it; if you get hit, stand straight and take it.

Later I realized, this principle works just as well in trading.

After opening a position, if the market isn’t right? Stop loss when needed, don’t hesitate. If you’re wrong, you’re wrong—admit it. What’s the worst? Closing a position and then the market turns around, and you start beating your chest, or stubbornly hold on—those are all ways to invite disaster.

Now I only believe in one thing: staying alive is more important than anything. As long as the account is still there, the opportunity is still there.

Stop-loss is easier to say than to do, but your profit curve really shows some skill. Staying alive is the key, and this phrase truly hits the point.

Stop-loss is about staying alive; stubbornly holding on is courting death. This logic is clear.

Really, being alive is the true way. Last year, I just stubbornly persisted and lost everything, and now I’m still reviewing with blood, sweat, and tears.

A 30% return sounds like a lot, but the real way to make money is to survive and come out ahead, and I agree with that.

A 30% return is pretty good, but do those tricks of the trading world really work in trading? I think most people still fall victim to greed.

The thing about stop-loss is you really need to be ruthless; otherwise, your mindset will explode and everything will be over.

This is the true essence of trading; being alive is the real winner. Many people die at the moment they refuse to admit defeat.
