Las Vegas is witnessing a remarkable surge in BTC payment adoption. More and more brick-and-mortar businesses throughout the city are now equipped to accept Bitcoin payments through Square's point-of-sale systems. This expansion signals growing mainstream acceptance of crypto in everyday transactions. The entertainment capital seems to be embracing digital currency infrastructure at an accelerating pace, making it easier for both tourists and locals to spend their Bitcoin holdings on goods and services across town.

Las Vegas is really going all in on Bitcoin, with Square's POS system rolling out so quickly... I'm a bit curious to see how the BTC ecosystem in the gambling city will develop.

This move in Las Vegas, to be honest, is still Square expanding channels. The scenarios where you can actually spend BTC are limited. Don't be fooled by the claims of "mainstream applications."

ngl square's pos integration is cute but if you analyze the actual settlement latency vs base layer confirmation times, this is demonstrably sub-optimal for real btc adoption. tourists doing micropayments through custodial rails? technically speaking, that's not even on-chain scaling 💀

Las Vegas is really heating up now, with Square integrating Bitcoin payments, and offline merchants getting involved... feels like full adoption is not far away.

Las Vegas is now playing with Bitcoin. This move is great—much better than those who just hoard coins.
