Got a wild story about my trading bot during the FOMC chaos.

So here's what went down before the announcement: my automated system completely lost its mind. Bug triggered a loop that kept stacking orders non-stop. Watched my ~$200 account get force-fed into maximum position size. Heart-in-throat moment.

Plot twist? The glitch accidentally nailed the direction. That overlevered mess somehow rode the volatility wave and ballooned to $500. Pure dumb luck.

The FOMC aftermath hit different though. Once Powell started talking, realized I needed to pull the plug on automation for a bit. Market whipsaw during rate decision windows is brutal for bots—they can't read the room like humans do.

Lesson learned: sometimes your worst technical failure becomes your best trade. But don't mistake luck for skill. Already tweaking the code to add circuit breakers before the next major event.

Whoa, this bug surprisingly made money haha --- I've also experienced a bot going out of control, it's exhausting --- It was a false alarm, we still need to strengthen risk control, brother --- Make a $500 profit? That's incredible luck, haha --- As soon as Powell starts speaking, I immediately stop the bot, I really can't trust its judgment --- You're right, don't mistake luck for skill, that's the easiest way to crash --- My system also went into a dead loop once before, and since then I haven't dared to turn on automation --- Adding circuit breakers is indeed important, next time luck might not be on our side

Ha, if this bug can make money, I have to erect a monument for it --- That FOMC wave was really a minefield for automated trading --- Double returns rely on luck, next time it should blow up --- Adding circuit breaker mechanisms to the code, did I learn smart this time? --- Artificial intelligence is not as good as human intelligence, hilarious --- My bot also went through this, directly losing everything and being wiped out --- Ran out of luck and kept playing, gg --- As soon as Powell speaks, robots really lose their jobs

Haha, this luck is incredible. The bug actually helped you copy everything down. --- Damn, the feeling of correctly guessing the direction is great, but don't take it as a skill. --- Once Powell starts speaking, he has to manually take control. Bots are just pawns; the real reading of the market still depends on people. --- $200 to $500, why hasn't this been included in your trading manual yet? --- Next time, adding a circuit breaker is really necessary. Not many bots survived that Bitcoin swing. --- I've also encountered similar ghost stories. Automation loopholes can sometimes save you, but more often they just trap you. --- Pure luck, don’t let this stroke of luck fool you.

Ha, I've also encountered similar ghost stories. Making money from code bugs is really hard to resist. --- That's why I don't fully trust automated trading. For major events like the FOMC, I prefer to do everything manually. Bots really can't understand the market. --- Money earned by luck is the easiest to lose back. You adding a circuit breaker is the right move. --- $200 to $500? That's intense. If the Fed decision happens again, it could directly wipe everything out. --- My idea is completely the opposite. Powell's speeches are actually the easiest time for bots to mess up. --- Honestly, I've encountered situations like this a few times. Every time, I was scared out of my mind. After reviewing the code, I found all low-level bugs. --- Circuit breaker is a must, or next time, it might go straight from $500 back to $0.

Haha, what luck! The bug actually saved your life? My bot had already closed out in a suicidal manner during the FOMC wave.

Damn, your luck is incredible. You can even use bugs to buy the dip?

Haha, wow, this is why my bot also often surprises me... Money earned by luck will eventually be returned to the market, your story is so true. Wait, $200 directly exploded to $500? I also want that kind of luck, but I know I will definitely be the one to get liquidated. As soon as Powell speaks, the bot should be muted, otherwise it's just asking for death.
