A major exchange has obtained regulatory approval from Pakistan and has initiated the license application process.

【Crypto World】On December 12th, a certain global digital asset trading platform announced an important development: it has officially obtained the No Objection Certificate( from the Pakistan Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority)PVARA(. This means the platform has officially initiated the licensing process for a compliant exchange under the framework of the “2025 Virtual Asset Regulations.”

This certification was not easy to achieve. The significance of obtaining the NoC is that the platform becomes one of the first global digital asset platforms to meet the criteria for applying for a Pakistan virtual asset license. According to the relevant regulatory framework, the platform will continue to advance compliance and formal licensing procedures, working closely with PVARA to complete the final comprehensive authorization.

The next step is to complete registration with the Financial Monitoring Unit) (FMU) for anti-money laundering( (AML) services. This registration covers a wide range of services—including virtual asset exchanges, brokerage trading, custody, and derivatives services. After completing this step, the platform will be well-prepared to obtain a full virtual asset service provider) (VASP) license in the future.

Pakistan is a market worth paying attention to. As one of the fastest-growing cryptocurrency markets globally, the country has millions of young, tech-savvy users. The trading platform currently has over 50 million registered users worldwide. This licensing progress also reflects Pakistan’s significant strides in establishing a standardized and innovative digital asset ecosystem.

Has Pakistan started to formalize? Compliance licenses are really becoming more valuable, and a few early-entrant major exchanges are directly sitting back and winning.
