After years of trading contracts, I finally realize that the main reason most people lose money is actually very simple—too greedy.

In the early days, I was the same way, with indicators filling the screen (MACD, RSI, Bollinger Bands taking turns), making over ten trades a day. When I made a profit, I’d get nervous about a pullback; when I lost, I’d stubbornly hold on. As a result, I stayed up all night watching the charts, and my account kept getting worse, and I was also falling apart mentally.

Later, I talked with a few veteran traders, and we all shared the same feeling—complex stuff actually causes more harm. We simplified the trading process and developed a "Great Way Simplicity" approach. Honestly, using this method over the past two years, my win rate has stayed around 95%, and trading has become much easier.

The core logic is: most people in the crypto world lose because they are too eager to win. Frequent trading, chasing highs and selling lows, blindly bottom-fishing and top-ticking—all are driven by emotions and volatility, which ultimately harvests your gains. We do the opposite: don’t guess the direction, don’t look at a bunch of fancy indicators, just spend 10 minutes a day watching the charts.

So, how exactly do we do it?

**Tip 1: Use only one indicator**

Just look at the EMA moving averages, set EMA21 and EMA55. The 21 EMA shows short-term momentum, and the 55 EMA indicates the medium-term trend. When the 21 EMA crosses above the 55 EMA, go long; when it crosses below, go short. Don’t pile on more indicators—they’ll just conflict with each other.

**Tip 2: Only trade on the 4-hour chart**

Small timeframes have too much noise and are easy to get fooled. Wait until the 4-hour chart shows the 21 EMA crossing above the 55 EMA and the candle closes bullish; only then consider going long. Conversely, do the same for a bearish signal. During sideways consolidation, it’s better to stay out than to make reckless moves.

**Tip 3: Stop-loss must be in place**

Place your stop-loss at the high or low of the previous 4-hour candle, and limit each trade’s loss to no more than 5% of your capital. In the past, I used to hold on through 20% or 30% losses, which not only shrank my account but also crushed my confidence. Now, I cut losses immediately when triggered, and my trading has become more stable.

**Tip 4: Add positions gradually, follow the trend**

Start with only 5% of your capital. When you make a 5% profit, add another 5%. Keep doing this until a reversal signal appears. This method protects your core position’s profits and allows you to ride the entire trend.

Major coins like BTC, ETH, SOL, and BNB are the main assets; their volatility patterns are relatively clear, making them suitable for this approach. From my experience, the simpler and more straightforward the strategy, the more comfortable it is to execute. No need to push yourself hard or be overly clever—just follow the rules.

95% win rate? Bro, that number is a bit suspicious, but the simplified strategy really hits the mark.

To be honest, I survived using this method, and stop-loss really saved me several times.

It's the same old story, I've heard it too many times haha

Exactly right. I've felt the same way over the past two years; stop-loss is truly a lifesaver.

That's so right. I also learned a painful lesson about stop-loss before, holding on until liquidation.
