The stock market is the best place to see yourself clearly.

Chasing highs is because you can't contain greed, and panicking during declines is because you can't suppress fear. You're willing to go all-in simply because of your inherent gambling nature, and holding on tightly during deep drawdowns is because you refuse to admit your failure.
Maybe every one of your trades bears the imprint of your character, and every profit or loss accurately reflects the cause-and-effect of your cognition. When your trading frequency gradually decreases, and you can calm your mind to patiently wait for that moment of certainty, you have freed yourself from the restlessness of trading.
When you calmly pass up 20 opportunities in a row, just to grasp that perfect rhythm that resonates with your understanding, then when you place the next order, you've truly broken the inner thief. The stock market isn't lacking opportunities; even if you've just missed one, don't rush. Opportunities are like buses; another good chance will soon appear.
I believe stock trading is a form of inner practice for ascetics. Your greed, fear, and foolishness will be vividly displayed amid market fluctuations. The process from self-discovery to self-awareness may also be the most important meaning of life.
