Parents with daughters really can't bear to watch this. The year before last, just before the New Year, my daughter underwent adenoidectomy due to 95% blockage of her adenoids. It was a relatively small surgery, but it required general anesthesia, and there have been precedents of children having issues with intubation during anesthesia. Seeing her being pushed into the operating room on the surgery bed was truly heart-wrenching; I felt like I waited outside for two months during those two hours.
