The Bybit XHunt event is coming to an end. During this period, I systematically experienced Bybit Alpha (@Bybit_Web3) and became increasingly clear about one thing:

What it truly aims to solve is never about “moving assets onto the chain,”
but a core issue long avoided by Web3 and never fully addressed—
ordinary users, why they can never truly enter the on-chain world.

1. The biggest failure of Web3 is not insufficient decentralization, but “assuming users are too smart”

In the past few years, the narrative of Web3 has been somewhat self-deceptive.

We shout: Decentralization! Sovereignty is mine!

Yet we assume users must first complete a whole set of “introductory training”:

How to install a wallet?
How to store private keys?
What is Gas?
How to choose a chain?

The result is: the on-chain world becomes more “pure,” but participation dwindles.

The problem isn’t the ideology, but the path.

2. Bybit Alpha’s counterintuitive choice: first acknowledge reality

Bybit Alpha doesn’t continue to educate users “you should learn DeFi,”
but first admits a rather unglamorous fact:

👉 Most people don’t lack interest in participating on-chain; they’re kept out by complexity.

So it chooses a restrained, pragmatic path:
Not requiring you to become a native Web3 user
Not forcing you to understand wallets and Gas immediately
Not dumping all operational risks on you at once

Instead, through a unified trading account (UTA),
allowing users to perform on-chain actions within a familiar CEX experience.

3. Key point: this isn’t “pseudo-on-chain,” but “complexity front-loaded digestion”

This is very important.

Bybit Alpha isn’t about superficial on-chain activity, but:

Assets are on-chain
Trades are on-chain
Liquidity and yield logic remain Web3’s

The only difference is:
👉 Complexity is absorbed by the system, not dumped on the user.

Users are left with only one question: “Am I willing to participate?”

Not: “Will I lose everything due to a single mistake?”

4. Is this diluting the spirit of Web3?

Many people might have this doubt, but my judgment is exactly the opposite 👇

👉 This isn’t lowering standards, but rebuilding the entry point.

If Web3 is forever only friendly to a handful of tech geeks,
it will ultimately become a self-reinforcing small circle.

The Web3 that can truly go far must be:
Newcomers can come in
Ordinary people can stay
A few will gradually go deeper

5. The changes in Bybit over the past year are actually underestimated by many

Many still associate Bybit with hacking incidents.
People’s impression of Bybit might just be as a second-tier exchange.

But from the design logic of this Bybit Alpha, it’s completely different from certain An’s alpha logic.

Bybit is no longer just about depth, fees, and listing speed.
It’s starting to do something more difficult and long-term:

👉 Designing a complete path for users from 0 → 1 → 10.

Alpha, UTA, content ecosystem, activity mechanisms—all fundamentally revolve around one goal:
Unconsciously bringing users closer to on-chain, rather than forcing them to jump in.

6. Bybit’s true long-term advantage is actually “boundary awareness”

You’ll find that Bybit rarely rushes to the front of narratives,
nor does it hurriedly package itself as a “Web3 believer.”

It’s more like insisting on one thing:
Where centralization is appropriate, don’t pretend to decentralize
Where on-chain activity is needed, truly put assets on-chain

Not imposing ideology on users. In an industry that’s highly emotional and narrative-driven, this sense of boundaries is actually a rare capability.

The final honest truth:
Bybit isn’t perfect, but at least it’s not obsessed with “the right posture.”

In an industry that loves grand narratives,
being willing to handle the dirty, tiring, and unpopular work
is actually the most difficult and valuable.

And that’s the real reason I continue to observe and appreciate Bybit Alpha.
