The Talus decentralized AI infrastructure platform announced a significant change to its distribution schedule. According to an official statement, the assets allocated for the TGE tracking airdrop will now be allocated in US, changing the initial plan which anticipated delivery in yUS. This reconfiguration reflects internal adjustments to the project’s launch strategy.
What Changed for Users
Users still have the option to stake US in the incentive pools of the Talus loyalty program, according to the established schedule. This change does not impact this already planned functionality. However, those expecting to receive yUS directly in the airdrop will now receive US instead.
Behind the Decision
Talus clarified that yUS functions as an experimental asset linked to an LP vault. Although the team had made extensive preparations for its launch over several weeks, an obstacle arose: the partner responsible for the vault was unable to maintain the long-term operational support required to properly scale the product due to changes in internal operational priorities.
yUS on Hold
With the unavailability of continuous support, the launch of yUS has been postponed to a period after the TGE. This decision aims to ensure the robustness and reliability of the product when finally made available to users, avoiding technical or operational issues that could compromise the experience.
Previous Context
On November 24, the Talus Foundation publicly presented on the X platform an innovative LP-based airdrop mechanism. The original plan involved distributing yUS tokens through the NODO AI vault, which would encapsulate automated liquidity provisioning strategies dedicated to the US-USDC trading pool on Momentum DEX. Now, with this reformulation, the TGE proceeds with a modified structure but maintains the focus on distribution to its community.
