Nansen analyst points out a silent trap threatening Ethereum: neglect until 2030

Ethereum faces a disturbing alert coming from within the ecosystem. Alex Svanevik, an influential figure associated with Nansen, raised the red flag about the complacency that is taking root in the community. According to him, if the network does not wake up to these vulnerabilities, it could face critical scenarios by 2030.

The core issue is simple but concerning: the Ethereum community is sleeping on its laurels. While many point to impressive metrics like high TVL, Svanevik questions whether these measures are hiding deeper structural problems. Complacency, in this context, is not just a lack of vigilance — it is an existential risk.

The analyst was direct in his criticism: those who dismiss questions by highlighting positive numbers are falling into a dangerous trap. Growth metrics can be misleading if they do not reflect the network’s true health. Without constant critical thinking and a willingness to face failures, Ethereum risks losing relevance.

Nansen’s analysis touches on a sensitive point: it’s easy to become complacent when everything seems to be going well. But the history of technologies shows that complacency precedes collapse. For Ethereum, the alarm has already been sounded — now it depends on how the community will respond.
