My youngest son said, Dad, I suddenly feel anxious (want to cry…)
I asked, What's wrong? Son! Don't panic! Take three deep breaths! Tell Dad what's going on.
My son said, I don't know either! Anyway, I just feel anxious.
I said, Don't panic! Don't be afraid! If the sky falls, Dad and Mom will support you first, plus Grandma, sister, and brother! (It's) past 9 PM, go to bed quickly, and get up early tomorrow to play (during winter vacation).
Could it be precociousness? A 10-year-old boy, just in fourth or fifth grade, should be in the most carefree days. We hardly put pressure on him academically; we just want him to learn, practice, listen, and speak more English, not to be afraid of speaking poorly, and encourage him to be bold and play with foreign kids!
