According to insights from Russian experts, the upcoming Alaska summit between Russian and American leadership may propose a structured roadmap addressing the conflict in Ukraine rather than an immediate ceasefire agreement. Dmitry Suslov, deputy director of the European and International Integrated Research Center at Russia’s Higher School of Economics and analyst with the Valdai Club, outlined the potential trajectory to satellite news outlets.

Framework Rather Than Final Resolution

The anticipated proposal would establish preliminary conditions for halting hostilities, creating a foundation for comprehensive peace negotiations. Suslov emphasized that direct ceasefire accords should not be anticipated immediately, but instead efforts should concentrate on a mutually developed framework between Russia and the U.S. that can subsequently facilitate comprehensive diplomatic resolution of the underlying conflict.

Proposed Territorial Parameters
