The bizarre videos you come across might actually be targeting your wallet

Recently, a bunch of strange characters have suddenly appeared on Instagram and short video platforms: some are “George Biorobots,” others are “Corgi Executioners”… Each one more absurd than the last, either mocking celebrities or carrying racial discrimination. Have you also come across them, furrowing your brow and thinking, “What kind of shady meme is this again?”

But you might not know that behind these seemingly absurd things lies a sophisticated “harvesting pipeline.” They are systematically created with two main goals: to steal your attention and then drain your wallet.

All of this is tied to three things: lax regulation of cryptocurrencies, easily accessible AI tools, and algorithm recommendation systems.

1. The first step in the pipeline: creating a “coin”

This business usually starts on a certain cryptocurrency platform. Anyone can create a virtual token in just a few minutes, giving it any name, like FLOYDAI or KIRKINATOR.

2. The second step: using AI to produce “viral bait”

Once the coin is created, it needs to be known. So, creators will go into small circles and discuss how to make this coin “go viral.” The fastest way? Use AI to generate大量挑衅性、冒犯性的短视频 in bulk. The more extreme the content, the better, because hatred and controversy naturally attract traffic.

3. The third step: “poison” the algorithm and wait for you to take the bait

These videos are uploaded to social platforms. The algorithm notices: “Hmm, this video is controversial, has many comments, and good watch time—‘quality content’!” So it promotes heavily, pushing it into your feed.

You might feel confused or even annoyed, but the engagement metrics have already risen. Every pause, every frown, fuels the “hotness” of this coin.

4. The final step: harvesting and disappearing

As more people search for and discuss out of curiosity, the price of this coin gets artificially pumped by a few insiders. When ordinary people follow in, the early creators quickly sell off and cash out. The coin’s value plummets, leaving behind chaos and countless retail investors holding the bag.

Even more frightening is that this entire model has become “automated.”

Now, almost any new meme or cultural symbol, even if initially created unintentionally by netizens, can be registered as a cryptocurrency within minutes. Then, someone immediately uses AI to produce related content, trying to hype it up just to make a quick buck amid the chaos.

We are losing the “authentic internet.”

When every trend could be a trap designed for profit, can you still trust what you see on trending searches? When extreme and offensive content is repeatedly pushed by algorithms simply because it generates traffic, what will our online environment become?

This is not just about financial loss. It’s about how our collective attention, emotions, and public discourse are being exploited on a large scale by a “pollution system.”

It’s time to wake up. Next time you see those inexplicable, highly uncomfortable “hot memes,” don’t follow the trend immediately. Stop and think: behind this, is there another pair of eyes watching your wallet?

The internet shouldn’t be a scam targeting everyone. Recognize this scheme, and don’t let your curiosity and good intentions become someone else’s harvesting chips. #加密行情预测 #比特币与黄金战争 #ETH #DOGE #BTC
