Recently, I noticed an interesting phenomenon while browsing Twitter—discussion volume around meme coin ETFs has surged, especially with a project on Solana focusing on this direction. Its approach is straightforward: bundle multiple meme coins into an index product, allowing users to hold a diversified basket and avoid the hassle of managing individual wallets.

The growth data of this project is quite impressive. Since mid to late December last year, the number of holders has skyrocketed from a few hundred to over a thousand, and its market cap has risen from a historical low to around $170,000. The entire narrative revolves around "an asset aggregation tool for retail investors," but it doesn't follow the traditional serious ETF route. Instead, it has a playful vibe—offering 24-hour liquidity and a burn mechanism to incentivize LP.

Speaking of which, this kind of innovation is not the first. The ETF applications for Mog and Dogecoin have long expanded the imagination space for the entire meme ecosystem. The core benefit is clear: lowering the participation threshold, allowing retail investors to track meme market trends through a more regulated structure without having to endure the peaks of price volatility.

But risks are also present. Meme coins are inherently driven by hype, and once they are ETFized, liquidity drying up or regulatory delays could amplify losses. This wave of growth actually reflects the evolution of the entire crypto market—from pure speculation to gradually integrating practical attributes. Industry forecasts suggest that by 2030, the scale of tokenized assets could surpass trillions, but the long-term performance of meme tokens will still depend on the community's ongoing vitality and market maturity.

The meme coin ETF... to put it simply, it's just making it easier for retail investors to get "rekt" together. However, the fact that the market cap jumped from the bottom to 170,000 shows that there is indeed some value behind it.

The meme coin ETF is really trying to make speculation look more legitimate... but honestly, it's still about betting on hype. I don't really believe it can last until 2030.

Can meme coins be packaged into ETFs? Sounds good, but can this stuff really hold up... --- Another wave driven by hype; we'll see once regulators come knocking. --- Daring to boast a trillion-dollar narrative with just a 170,000 market cap—I've smelled this kind of hype too many times. --- Is it a retail aggregation tool? In the end, big players still cut the leeks—old tricks. --- The burn mechanism to incentivize LP sounds trendy, but once liquidity dries up, it's game over. --- Not denying innovation, but the essence of meme coins can't be changed, and ETFs won't save the hype. --- Honestly, I quite like this idea, but I'm worried it might become a new tool for cutting the leeks again. --- The Sol ecosystem has been relying on this kind of "innovation" to stay alive recently. --- 24-hour liquidity sounds great, but try it during a crash—see if it explodes instantly. --- I always feel that meme ETFs will eventually become a new trick for institutions to harvest.

Once again, the meme coin ETF... Basically, it's just legalizing a hot potato. --- Market cap of 170,000? That data is really daring to show off. Next time liquidity dries up, you'll see who the bagholders are. --- 24-hour liquidity sounds pretty appealing, but have you thought about what happens if there's a rug pull? --- Retail investors' dreams are still just an upgraded version of a scam, not very promising. --- Burn mechanisms to incentivize LP... This trick is getting more and more fancy, isn't it? --- From hot to ETF in just three months? That's a speed that's a bit scary. --- Meme coin ETFs will be popular, but how many of those will still be around in 2025? --- Is the real question whether it can track market trends, or is it simply a new rug pull tool? --- Another "standardized structure," it feels like every time they say that, it ends up running away. --- Is it truly innovative or just a shell game? You can tell by looking at the size of the project.
