The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) has rescheduled the release of critical energy market data due to the federal government’s three-day closure from December 24 through December 26. Market participants will have to wait longer for weekly U.S. natural gas inventory figures, which will now be published at 23:30 UTC on Monday, December 29, instead of the regular weekly schedule.

In addition to the delayed gas inventory data, the crude oil inventory report has also been pushed back. This report will now be released at 01:00 UTC on Tuesday, December 30. Both announcements are part of the holiday-related administrative adjustments affecting federal economic data releases.

One exception to the delay is the initial jobless claims report, which was accelerated to accommodate the holiday break. This labor market indicator was published early on December 24 at 21:30 UTC, allowing traders and analysts to access the employment data before the government offices shut down.
