Why does full position trading frequently lead to liquidation? The truth is far more brutal than you think.

At 3 a.m., a friend panicked. He said, "I used 10,000 USDT in full position with 20x leverage to go long, and just a 5% pullback wiped out my account."

I looked at his holdings—full leverage, no stop-loss at all. This guy is basically playing Russian roulette with his account.

Most people get one thing wrong—the idea that full position mode itself causes liquidation. The real culprit is the position size and weight.

**Why is it that some people survive well with the same full position, while others are already out?**

In a 1000U account, putting 900U into 10x leverage—just a 5% market move and you're done. Conversely, with the same 1000U account only investing 100U at 10x leverage, you'd need a 50% move to get liquidated. The problem isn't the leverage itself; it's how much principal you put in.

That friend basically bet over 90% of his chips, and a small pullback was enough to wipe him out.

**I've been trading full position for half a year without liquidation, and I even doubled my money. Here are my three bottom lines:**

**① Single trade position cap: 20% of total funds**
— For a 10,000 USDT account, never invest more than 2,000 USDT in one trade. Even if stop-loss triggers a 10% loss, that's only 200 USDT—no real harm.

**② Single loss limit: 3% of total position**
— With 2,000 USDT at 10x leverage, set stop-loss at 1.5%. A 300 USDT loss is acceptable, and even if you keep losing, you can hold on.

**③ Trading rhythm: no action in sideways markets, no greed for profits**
— Stay idle in choppy markets, only step in when there's a clear breakout, and never add to positions out of fear or excitement.

The purpose of full position trading is to allow room for error during volatility, not to give gamblers a green light.

A follower who was stuck in a cycle of monthly liquidations two months ago, using this rule set, turned 5,000 USDT into 80,000 USDT in three months. His words were: "I used to bet everything recklessly; now I bet to survive."

In crypto, the rarest thing isn't getting rich overnight, but surviving long enough. Focus less on fighting the trend and more on managing your position size. Those who slow down often go the farthest.

It's the same story again. It's true, but 99% of people won't listen. The key is mindset—greed can bring you back to square one in a second.

Look at this guy, he really turned leverage into a death gamble. With 20x full position, just a 5% move and it's gone. This is outrageous.

It's just Russian roulette. I understand the feeling of watching your account go from 10,000 to 0 in the early hours. --- The 20% ceiling rule is actually just forcing yourself to survive a little longer; otherwise, a single pullback would wipe you out completely. --- I just want to ask, is that guy still around? This is the truth about full position trading. --- Turning 5,000 into 80,000—no exaggeration, but what's even more impressive is that there was no direct liquidation even once. That’s real skill. --- Stop listening to stories of getting rich overnight. The one who survives the longest wins, plain and simple.

Setting a 3% stop-loss truly changed my way of life. I used to have a gambler's mentality, but now I consider it trading.

That phrase about Russian roulette is hilarious. My friend is exactly like that—every time he says, "This time it will definitely go up," and as a result, his account gets wiped out in one shot.

Really, going all-in without managing position size is just giving it away. I've seen too many 20x full positions get wiped out by a 5% pullback in seconds.

Really, position management is more important than market direction. Talking about it more only brings tears.

Really, that friend is just a pure gambler mindset. A 5% pullback and they get liquidated, showing they didn't think anything through and just went all in.
