People often ask why some traders dare to place million-level orders, while most beginners wouldn't even dare to think about it. To be honest, the logic behind this is very realistic.

Placing large orders is not just a matter of courage, but also involves understanding of trading mechanisms. Take hedging operations as an example; this strategy is not something ordinary people can casually play with. Hedging requires synchronized order placement across different accounts to achieve risk balance. One account goes long, while the other goes short accordingly, so as to lock in profits or control losses.

At first glance, it might seem like a matter of diversified operations, but the problem is— you need sufficient liquidity to support the simultaneous operation of two accounts. The back-and-forth alone makes the capital allocation between accounts quite tight.

Let's do some quick math to understand. To consistently execute a hedging strategy, each account needs to be equipped with reasonable margin. Even for moderate-scale operations, it’s difficult to comfortably proceed with a total capital of less than 2 million. This doesn’t include additional costs like slippage and transaction fees. When funds are insufficient, even small market fluctuations can trigger forced liquidation, rendering the purpose of hedging meaningless.

So rather than saying it’s a difference in traders’ courage, it’s more about the difference in capital strength. Without solid financial backing, no matter how brave you are, you still have to obey the market’s arrangements.

Basically, if you don't have money, don't mess around, right?

Basically, it's just that there's no money. No matter how brave you are, it's useless.

Basically, it's the difference between being poor and rich. Don't think about hedging unless you have at least two million.

Basically, if you don't have money, don't expect to do hedging. Dreams are hard to afford to hurt.
