Here's a thought that keeps popping up: "AI can't beat humans because it's built on human knowledge."

But wait—is that really how it works?

Think of it this way. A father passes down everything he knows to his son. Does that mean the son is capped at the father's level? Of course not. The son inherits the foundation, then builds on it. He learns from others too. He connects dots in new ways. He might become smarter, stronger, or more skilled than his old man ever was.

AI is similar. Yes, it's trained on human knowledge. But that's just the starting point. Machine learning models can find patterns humans miss. They can process data at scales we can't comprehend. They can optimize and iterate faster than any human lifetime.

The real question isn't whether AI is built on human knowledge. It's what happens when that foundation gets supercharged by computational power and algorithmic innovation.

Sounds like a recipe for something different—maybe not "better" or "worse," just different in ways we're still figuring out.

Haha, that's a good analogy, but my brother overlooked one issue.

This logic is pretty tough, and the metaphor of me surpassing my father really shut up quite a few people.

This logic is actually just making excuses for AI... It's a nice way to put it, but fast data processing doesn't equal deep understanding.

The things taught by dad don't mean the son has reached the top, this metaphor is perfect... --- Wait, so AI surpassing humans is actually just a matter of time? --- This logic feels a bit forced to me; humans are still iterating, right? --- The key is that with computing power support, we can't see the ceiling of AI. --- Honestly, I'm a bit scared suddenly. --- Still the same point, differentiation rather than absolute superiority, overthinking it.

This analogy is excellent, but I still think it's a bit too optimistic lol

This analogy of a father giving birth to a son is pretty good, but the key is that the son has to live for about a hundred years to stack up, while AI can copy itself in a matter of minutes.

This analogy is interesting, but the problem is that humans are also evolving, not dead.
