Just because you can do it doesn't mean you should. That's the real divide in this space—technical capability versus ethical responsibility. We've seen too many projects push boundaries simply because the blockchain enables them to. But Web3's maturity will be measured not by what we *can* build, but by what we *choose* to build. Worth thinking about.

Well said, but the reality is that most people don't care about this set of moral arguments... they're all chasing profits.

You're so right; this is exactly how things are in this circle now.

If only I hadn't been greedy back then, now there are all sorts of "technically feasible" crappy projects everywhere.

Well said, being able to do it and should do it are two different things. On the chain, some integrity still needs to be maintained.

Based on the voting data of governance proposals, this view holds within a 99.9% confidence interval — but the problem is that the Tokenomics design of most projects is fundamentally incompatible with incentives, resulting in a selection bias towards things that only push boundaries.

ngl this is the most heartbreaking part of Web3 right now... There are so many things that can be done, but nobody cares whether they should be done or not.

To be honest, being able to do something and actually doing it are two different things. Many people in the Web3 community haven't fully realized this yet.

I'm awake, I'm awake... That's quite a clear statement. But watching this in the middle of the night is a bit ironic, because the crypto world is exactly the epitome of "do what you can." With gas fees so high, who cares about ethics...

Well said. Being able to do something and actually doing it are two different things. Many projects just focus on technical capabilities and put ethics aside.

ngl, this statement hits many projects' pain points... Being able to do it doesn't mean you should do it. This is simply the truth in the crypto world.
